In this special edition of the All Y’all podcast, we are proud to share a story by Bossier City native and friend of All Y’all, Al Bohl. “E.M. Bounds Sees Jesus” (that’s our title, not Al’s) was recorded at Al’s home – it was not recorded at a live event. The story recounts a very bizarre week in the life of a young singing evangelist and chalk artist. We’d never even heard of Christian chalk art before Al shared his story, but apparently it’s a thing – check out Chalkevangelist.com or Chalkartist.com for fascinating examples of contemporary chalk art ministries.
Whatever you believe, Al’s story is hilarious and endearing. It is a window into a world that few have had personal experience with – the world of rural tent revivals.
The next All Y’all Live storytelling event, “OMG,” will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, August 28, 2015 at Sainte Terre in Benton. Tickets are available and may be purchased here. For more information, check out this post.

“All Y’all Live: OMG” Update
What do we know about “OMG” so far? There’ll be live music by Grammy-nominated bluesman Buddy Flett, a cash bar provided by Sainte Terre, five or six great storytellers (more announcements on storytellers soon!) and we’ve booked a coach bus to provide a $20 round-trip ride between Mall St. Vincent in Shreveport and Sainte Terre, for anyone who’d like a ride out to Benton. Purchase event or bus tickets here.
Thanks, y’all!
